It would be a moral atrocity to not execute this monster. Convicting him in a court of law and then promptly killing him is not only the most practically sensible way to handle it, but also the most moral and most Christian. It's what God wants us to do. He told us so.

NEW: FedEx driver who is accused of abducting and strangling a seven-year-old girl, puts his face in his hand as a photo is displayed of him driving her to her death. 7-year-old Athena Strand was seen standing behind Tanner Horner in his FedEx truck. Athena was allegedly snatched by Horner when he was delivering a Barbie doll to her home in Paradise, Texas. Horner initially claimed that he accidentally hit the girl with the truck before "panicking" and pulling her into the vehicle. He said he then strangled her in the vehicle and dumped the body 7 miles from the home. The photo, however, shows that Athena was alert in the truck and did not appear to have been struck by the truck. Wise County District Attorney James Stainton says the jury will see footage on the day of the killing, depicting the moment Athena was strangled to death. "Somebody covered up the camera because they don't want you to see. Guess what? Audio is still running, and you're going to hear it. You're going to hear what a 250-pound man can do to a 67-pound child," he said. "And when I say it's horrible, I mean it. I've been doing this for 25 years, and I promise you, buckle up." Horner qualifies for the death penalty.

@be__accountable @tylermilliken_ Which team has won more rings than the Red Sox since John Henry became the owner (i.e., 2002)? Talk about "what have you done for me lately?"

@simonmaechling @grok, is it true that the mRNA covid vaccine is the most scrutinized and tested medical intervention in history?

You’re calling the most scrutinised and tested medical intervention in history “propaganda” while posting on a platform built on algorithms that actually reward outrage over evidence. The irony.
Bret Weinstein@BretWeinstein

The mRNA covid shots have pulled back the curtain on the "health" bureaucracy. Government is incapable of protecting the public from products produced by the corporations that captured it. So the public is protecting itself, and rejecting propaganda disguised as medical advice.

@MattWalshBlog So, you haven't talked to Ben Shapiro about it or do you not consider him a "normal conservative"?

I’ve never seen such a disconnect between the commentary on this site and what I hear in the real world. I’ve talked to dozens of normal conservatives in real life about the Iran War and I haven’t met a single one who’s actually enthusiastically in favor of it. At best they’re warily optimistic. In most cases they’re opposed. In some cases they’re not only opposed but deeply furious. And yet here if you utter a word of criticism about the war you’ll be shouted down by throngs of alleged American conservatives who allegedly have wanted nothing more than for America to go to war with Iran. It just doesn’t reflect what I see on the ground. That’s not just cope because my position is unpopular with “my side.” I’ve held plenty of unpopular positions. I really don’t care. But in this case the social media vs real world divide is stark and unlike anything I’ve seen before.

For the umpteenth time: Yes, Iranian State Media is more believable/trustworthy than the President of the United States. And yes, that’s an astounding thing to say. But it’s the truth. Because we have a president who lies as he breathes. And that’s a really bad & horrible thing.

@AdamPage85 "Wrong place/wrong time" is one of the most common idioms in the English lexicon. Why are so many people taking it literally? You don't honestly believe that anybody is suggesting that the victim is even partially to blame for her own murder, do you?

Women pass down mitochondrial DNA. Lineage already runs through the mother. So should the last name. The maternal line is the only unbroken genetic line. Women carry lineage. Our children should carry our names. Men don’t pass mitochondrial DNA. Women do. The lineage is maternal. Name accordingly.

@DanProft You don't think you might be taking the phrase too literally? It's a common idiom that is intended to mean that she had very bad luck. It wasn't a targeted killing; it was apparently completely random. Nobody is actually saying that she did anything wrong.

"Wrong place, wrong time" as one Chicago, state-run media outlet, indistinguishable from all of the others, described Sheridan Gorman's murder is a real tell. A college kid hanging out with her friends on the beach to see the northern lights is being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Being in America illegally with the intent to prey on others, even after having been previously arrested, is not. It's just like commuting to and from work on the El is being in the wrong place at the wrong time. But being on the same train with the intent to light someone on fire after having been arrested 70+ times is not. It's just like being a Chicago firefighter who shows up to fight a blaze is being in the wrong place at the wrong time. But being a meth head on felony pretrial release who started the fire is not. Maybe the Chicago press corps has a point: the people who play by the rules in Chicago--getting their education, doing their job or trying to protect others--are in fact in the wrong place at any time.
