Casey Mize quietly put together a very good 2025 campaign: 14-6 3.87 ERA 149 IP 64 ER 139 K 8.40 K/9 2.17 BB/9 1.27 HR/9 Mize made his first All-Star appearance in 2025, and by ERA he was the Tigers’ second-best option behind Tarik Skubal. It was his best year for ERA since 2021 — and it’s worth noting his BABIP in 2021 was .254, whereas in 2025 it was .308. He posted career bests in K/9, BB/9, WAR, and total strikeouts. Mize clearly took a big step forward, and we needed him to — especially with how Manning and Faedo panned out. He stepped up in a big way.
