“I will come over the meet you, brother.” My colleague John Lewis has died. This scene from the House floor last year beautifully captures who John was. A principled gentleman always willing to take steps toward his brothers and sisters. Our nation could use more more of that.

Ch 7, p 88. Be careful about being too technical or jargon-y when writing plans. "Parents & teachers just want help and they want plain, clear instructions on how the help is coming." #HSD_HappyKids @DrTRazz

Ch 7, p 87. Roll with resistance. "Our job is to invite new perspectives, but not impose them. The student should remain the primary source for answers & solutions." Admittedly hard to do but so important for learners to own it! #HSD_HappyKids @DrTRazz

Ch 7, p 86-87. Springer shares a lot of nuggets about motivational interviews & how we can intentionally implement this process with learners. Would be a nice complement to our reinforcement survey. #HSD_HappyKids @DrTRazz
