Weak border policies and lax CDL oversight under the Biden Administration created unnecessary risks on America’s roadways. Dalilah’s Law just passed @TransportGOP to protect the travelers by ensuring truck drivers are here legally and properly qualified to operate semi-trucks.

Drivers operating 80,000-pound trucks should meet the highest safety standards. Dalilah’s Law strengthens CDL requirements to ensure drivers are properly vetted, trained, and able to safely operate on America’s roadways. I am a proud cosponsor of this important legislation that guarantees dangerous illegal immigrants can’t obtain a CDL.

Digital assets will soon become an integral part of the global economy, but getting the CLARITY Act to pass the Senate and become law is paramount. It was great to join the DC Blockchain Summit to share the origins of CLARITY and how to move forward.

McCrossan Boys Ranch does incredible work in Sioux Falls. I toured the ranch and heard directly from these young men about the impact their programming has had on their lives. Their stories are a powerful reminder of the impact that mentorship, structure, and support can have on a young person’s future.

Gee, I sure wish Congress had passed the Shutdown Fairness Act during the first Democrat shutdown — then TSA agents would be getting paid on time and these disruptions avoided.

Employee‑owned businesses give workers a real stake in their company’s success. It was great to hear directly from the team at Central States Manufacturing in Hartford about how this model benefits them. I’m a strong supporter of employee ownership and have worked in Congress to make Employee Stock Ownership Plans a more accessible and attainable option for businesses across the country. @EmployeesOwn

The Children’s Home Society in Rapid City is working on a new facility to better serve their community. I toured the new campus and heard about the important work they are doing to support families and children.

I joined Security First Bank in Rapid City to talk about my work in Congress, including digital asset regulation. I talked about my CLARITY Act which will provide the rules of the road for this emerging financial tool.

I stopped by Wheeler Lumber, a 5th generation family-owned business, in Whitewood. Their products support railroads and bridges across the country. It was great to talk with them about American infrastructure and trade.

Did you know the Child Tax Credit has been expanded to $2,200 per child? Because of the Working Families Tax Cuts that I voted to pass, every year it will be adjusted for inflation, allowing you to keep more of your hard-earned dollars to spend on what your family needs.

I met with staff at Monument Health Hospital in Spearfish to talk about the importance of strong rural health care and the challenges hospitals are facing, especially when it comes to staffing. I also had the chance to tour the recently completed phase‑one expansion, which is already helping the hospital better serve families in the area.

It was an honor to meet the men and women of the 200th Basic Law Enforcement Certification Class in Pierre. Congratulations and thank you for stepping up to serve and protect our communities.
