I can’t emphasize this enough: Purdue has zero chance against Arizona tonight. The elite 8 is normally where their season spirals. No chance they’re winning!

@JWReamer Couldn’t agree more. Phenomenal ending to regulation, but it was clear these officials were in over their heads.

I've said for years, the IHSAA needs to overhaul how it assigns officials, especially when it comes to advancing. We need the best officials on these games. If it's the same officials every year, so be it. There were two officials in the stands who should've been working.

I have never blamed officials for a loss. The end of regulation of Linton/Austin would be as close as it came. The inexplicable huddle by officials with 1.1 left, effectively giving Austin an additional timeout to draw up a play was atrocious.

@AlfyLemon22 @kylesokeland She’s a kid. I’m not going to hate on kids. Do I believe she’s one of the best 13? No. Do I believe she’s a top 15? No. That doesn’t mean that I think she isn’t a good player. There are many great players left off the team.

@AlfyLemon22 @kylesokeland The problem is both you and Kyle only see people in SW Indiana. That’s what he covers. That’s what you watch. Nothing wrong with that. I’ve personally seen 60+ all-star worthy players and I know who I’d have taken on the roster. Some make it. Some don’t.

@BenStiller They're not gonna be really good again for a while. Lost Miles, Ben, gonna lose a few guys to free agency. Hali will take a half a season to be Hali. Atlanta is the new team to watch next season.

@AlfyLemon22 @kylesokeland @KyleNeddenriep Maybe it’s just a deep class. Only 13 made it. Gabby Helsom from Homestead, for example, in most years would’ve been a top 5 player. This isn’t Indy bias. There are 5-6 Indy players who probably feel snubbed as well.

@Wiscodsin I think it’s fair to say Myles doesn’t suck. He’s an NBA player. He isn’t worth the money the Bucks paid him and he was a major disappointment. It’s easy to see why the Pacers let him walk.

@CoachKeever @Brian_Haenchen Couldn’t agree more, Coach! Baseball, especially. I’m a big believer in not everyone qualifying for the tournament in baseball and having to win 2 out of 3. One bad day can end your run, which is much less likely to happen in other sports.

It’s time to give each sport its own properly fitted tournament format. We can do better than forcing 5 very different sports into the same structure just because the # of enrollment classifications match and they’re all labeled “team sports.” One size does not fit all.
