Why are y'all trying to short a market at all time highs?
84% of companies that have reported earnings are beating EPS estimates. On average they are reporting about 20% above estimates.
The economy is surprisingly resilient with unemployment holding steady and consumer spending beating expectations.
Don't try to step in front of the train, just find an opportunity to go with the trend.

@marktilbury I think another possibility to come in the future is… Companies moving away from selling within the UK. Taxes within the UK for particular brand such as confectionary has grown higher. Whether or not it’s for the right reasons. The UK is loosing businesses all together

Just as important as recognizing who's in control is to observe carefully to see when control begins to shift and flows begin to change. It's nothing special, just observation of relative strength and flow on the tape.

Follow the money. I hate to be a broken record, but... there's no need to be a hero. #NQ_F opens up big, some obvious profit taking / rebalancing / whatever selling on the open, #YM_F stays bid on positive $CAT earnings from this a.m. Given the composition of what's moving (mega cap tech), IMHO there's no reason to even think about buying NQ. Why would you? Either short it, or buy YM. Can't buy #ES_F either, it's basically equivalent to NQ given the drivers. YM stays nicely bid above VWAP and the developing VPOC. Honestly it's the lowest stress trade you could hope for. 100 points in just a few minutes. You watch money scramble out of tech while your trade works. You don't get high-fives or admiration from your fellow degen traders b/c you traded YM, but it pays just the same. Even better of course would have been to short NQ but I'm not a big fan of shorting literal ATH prints. Buy the stuff going higher. Sell the stuff going lower. 🤷♂️ $SPY $QQQ $DIA

Small Base bits whether that’s 1k for you 10$ for someone else. For prop firms is probably the best way to avoid intraday trailing DD.
