What is Cohen's angle here? Is this so convoluted b/c he has the Chomskyite take on the US-Israel relationship, so now he's grasping at straws? That's a guess, but this is so odd that there must be something going on besides the strange formulation he's putting forward.

Now Joe Kent, whom The Grayzone promoted via Tucker Carlson in 2022 and presumably was one of Blumenthal's sources, discusses his resignation from the Trump administration on Carlson's massive podcast. Kent says nothing about any Israeli threat on Trump's life and states unequivocally that only Trump can compel the Israelis to stop the war on Iran. The narrative that Blumenthal and Kent present makes zero sense because the Israeli threat on Trump story wasn't leaked, it was planted. It relies on you having the memory and analytical skills of a goldfish, which is symptomatic of regular social media and podcast consumption. The Grayzone is a de facto national security state asset, with Blumenthal acting as its stenographer. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
