@addisstandard I feel pity for the Ethiopian people. The juvenile PM is playing the people with empty promises & attempts he is doing to access the Red Sea.

In his parliamentary address today, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed emphasized the nation’s “unwavering interest” in accessing the #Red_Sea through “peaceful means.” He assured legislators that Ethiopia does not seek this access “through war or force” and insisted that the right to Red Sea access is valid “under any law, by any country’s experience.”
Abiy also addressed Ethiopia's recent MoU with #Somaliland, which aims to secure Ethiopian sea access in exchange for recognizing Somaliland. He noted that there were “attempts to portray” the agreement as though “Ethiopia entered an agreement with Somaliland to take a region of #Somalia.” He clarified that Ethiopia initially proposed a 99-year lease but agreed to Somaliland’s preference for a “50-year term.”

I've noticed some PP cadres using the old, war-torn buildings of Massawa to play politics against Eritrea. However, they seem to either intentionally or unintentionally ignore the fact that these buildings were destroyed by the Derg regime, which bombarded Massawa for weeks. Many civilians lost their lives in these gross violations of humanity, with cluster bombs raining down on them. It's easier to rebuild and renovate the physical structures, but the scars left behind will remain for generations, serving as a reminder of what the Ethiopian government did to Massawa. We always say, stop playing with fire. The pain we carry is immense, yet we've set it aside for the sake of peace between both countries. But don't scratch our wounds. We have a vast archive of evidence documenting the atrocities committed against Eritrea by different Ethiopian regimes. We urge you to stop manipulating history for political gain, as those scars are a testament to the resilience of the Eritrean people, and we will not forget.

Eritrea🇪🇷 and Djibouti🇩🇯 both ruled by Dictatorships since they gained their independence. Both countries are loosing a great number of their population due to the dictatorships young generations are immigrating to Europe and North America. If both countries continue this way they will not be exist as countries anymore.
