Honoured to be in 🇭🇷 Zagreb for the #3SI Parliamentary Summit, hosted by #HrvatskiSabor and Gordan Jandrokovic. Our work in the Mediterranean and @3SeasEurope is complementary - each investment reinforces the next, boosting growth, resilience, and connectivity. Through the #PactfortheMediterranean, we are creating connections that open new opportunities - from clean energy to trade and infrastructure. Together, we are building stronger links - from the Baltic to the Mediterranean and beyond. Corridors of trust that deliver.

10 years ago, the heart of Brussels was struck by violence. A day we will never forget. Since then, the EU has strengthened cooperation to fight terrorism - with stronger laws, closer cross-border action, and determined efforts against radicalisation. Through the Pact for the Mediterranean, we are also deepening cooperation with partners to prevent terrorism and violent extremism, and address shared security threats. We remain united in protecting our security and our values.

Today, we welcomed a @EP_Justice delegation to our HQ in Luxembourg. Discussions covered what our investigations reveal about threats to the EU, the revision of EPPO regulation & PIF Directive, resources: all key tools to fight organised crime and protect EU finances.

💧 Today we celebrate the World Water Day - a reminder that water is life, and a basic human right. Across the globe, billions still face challenges in accessing safe water. In the Mediterranean region, access to clean water is under increasing pressure due to climate change, population growth, and overuse of resources. Through our 🇪🇺 partnerships & the Pact for the Mediterranean, we are investing in solutions to strengthen infrastructure and expand access to safe drinking water. Together, we can turn commitment into action and ensure that everyone has access to this essential resource.

In my home country today 🇭🇷, to present the #PactForTheMediterranean. #Croatia plays a crucial role in shaping the Pact and its Action Plan - turning our shared Mediterranean identity into concrete results. The Pact delivers through three core pillars: ➡️ People – with a Mediterranean University connecting students, researchers and young talent across the region. ➡️ Stronger Economies & Prosperity – through T-MED, strengthening energy links and economic cooperation across the Mediterranean. ➡️ Security & Resilience - via Talent Partnerships and a new Mediterranean fire-fighting hub to protect our coast, islands and tourism, while improving the management of legal migration. A Pact built on people, opportunity and security.

Some years test you. Others build you. 2025 did both. A year of challenges, growth, and resilience—complex negotiations, demanding institutional paths, and a hard lesson: how deceptive people can be, and how often insinuation replaces integrity. I raised concerns to those entangled in the same flawed systems—trusting that truth, in time, becomes crystal clear.
