My teen has been away for an entire year so I'm walking him around the house reintroducing him to all the light switches and appliances to show him how they work because apparently lights shut themselves off, clothes clean themselves, and dishes don't get dirty in Spain.
Got the ultimate middle-aged mom injury updating my teen's room. I fought the closet and the closet won and now I have a concussion and two staples in my head.
I think the moral here is cleaning is dangerous.
What is a random piece of micro-advice your parents gave you? Not advice on big or significant things, but nevertheless something you’ll never forget.

Question for memoir proposals: When including bylines at cool pubs (like NYT, WashPost, HuffPost, Newsweek, etc), do we hyperlink to our essays as we list the pubs or just list them with no hyperlinks? (Thanks in advance for advice @GuerillaMemoir@JaneFriedman!)
