🚨THE FBI CREATED A FAKE CRYPTOCURRENCY.. LISTED IT ON UNISWAP.. HIRED MARKET MAKERS TO PUMP IT.. THEN ARRESTED EVERYONE WHO SAID YES.. THIS IS THE CRAZIEST LAW ENFORCEMENT OPERATION IN CRYPTO HISTORY!!! The FBI built an actual ERC-20 token on Ethereum called NexFundAI.. 100 billion token supply.. A professional website.. Whitepapers promising "passive income through AI-powered investing".. It looked exactly like every other crypto project.. Because that was the point.. Undercover agents posed as the founding team.. Then reached out to professional market-making firms and said "we need you to fake our trading volume".. Every single firm said yes.. Here's what they recorded.. Gotbit.. A firm run by a 26-year-old Russian who publicly bragged in 2019 that he built a business faking trade volumes.. His team kept internal spreadsheets with columns literally labeled "fake volume" vs "market volume".. When asked how fast they could pump NexFundAI's volume to $1 million per day.. They said "6 hours.. It will cost about $200".. $200 to fake $1 million in daily trading volume.. MyTrade.. Run by a guy who called himself "the mastermind".. He explained the exact psychology of the scam on camera.. "We make the chart look like a really nice roller coaster ride.. That's where people jump in.. We have to make them lose money in order to make profit".. He said that on a recorded FBI video call.. CLS Global.. A Dubai-based firm.. Their bots generated 98% of NexFundAI's total trading volume.. When the FBI asked if they could sync fake volume spikes with fake news announcements.. They said absolutely.. ZM Quant.. Bots executing 10 to 20 trades per minute through dozens of wallets to look organic.. All of them knew it was fraud.. All of them did it anyway.. All of it was recorded.. And the clients were even worse.. Saitama.. A meme coin that hit $7.5 billion market cap.. The founders coordinated buys through private Telegram chats.. Sent "pump it" memes while manipulating the price.. Then dumped on retail investors.. $7.5 billion.. Built entirely on fake volume.. Every penny of real money came from retail investors who thought the momentum was organic.. One founder left Saitama and started Robo Inu.. Used Gotbit again.. Another launched VZZN.. Same playbook.. Lillian Finance.. Founder claimed to be a defense contractor who addressed Congress.. Marketed the token as funding children's hospitals.. Pocketed everything.. When the FBI shut it down.. They seized $25 million in one day.. 18 people indicted across the US, UK, and Portugal.. The CEO of Gotbit was arrested in Portugal and extradited.. Sentenced to 8 months plus $23 million forfeiture.. But here's the part that broke my brain.. Real people bought NexFundAI.. The FBI's fake token.. With zero utility.. Zero real developers.. Created solely to catch criminals.. Attracted real retail investors because the fake volume made the chart look bullish.. When the FBI pulled the liquidity to end the operation.. Those people lost real money.. On a government-issued token.. The FBI had to set up a restitution portal to pay them back.. And it gets worse.. Within 24 hours of the DOJ announcing the sting.. Someone cloned the FBI's exact smart contract.. Launched a copycat token.. Rode the viral momentum.. And made $127,000 in a single day.. Using the exact same manipulation tactics the FBI just arrested 18 people for.. Then in 2026.. The FBI did it again.. New token called Lexobit.. 10 more arrests.. Including operators extradited from Singapore.. IRS forensics showed that in one firm's trading.. 1,209 out of 1,221 consecutive transactions went straight back to wallets the firm controlled.. 99% circular.. The FBI proved what everyone in crypto suspected.. The volume is fake.. The charts are painted.. The momentum is manufactured.. And every time you buy a token because "the chart looks bullish".. You might be the exit liquidity.

THIS IS ACTUALLY INSANE!🤯 The FBI launched its own crypto token last year just to trap the scammers. They were sick of pump and dumps. So they built a real token with a real site and real branding, called it NexFundAI, and waited to see who would show up. Within weeks, scammers were lining up to fake the volume for undercover agents. Then one of them got on a recorded call and said it out loud. Their entire business model was making regular people lose money so they could profit. The FBI had all of it on tape. 18 charged. $25M seized. Arrests across 3 countries. The wildest part? The FBI ran a cleaner crypto project than half the founders out there. And the whole thing was a trap from day one.

A fascinating article today in Haaretz on how the Lebanon war has gone wrong. Through interviews with soldiers who served there, we get a clear picture of why it is going so badly and so many soldiers are dying with little gain: 1) The looting and moral collapse issue. Nightly supply convoys doubled as extraction routes for stolen goods. Soldiers competed over villas and shops while commanders, up to the brigade commander, looked away. Some justified it as religious duty, others shrugged that everything would be destroyed anyway. One soldier said, "The IDF has become like an army of Vikings, they let soldiers loot so they'll stay happy and keep fighting." 2) Mental health is being neglected. After freezing in a firefight and falling apart, one of the soldiers asked repeatedly for psychological help and was stalled. The session he finally got amounted to breathing exercises and a push to return to the field for "functional continuity." Real care came only after a journalist intervened. He said, "I felt I needed to harm myself for anyone to start paying attention." 3) Destruction of buildings seems to be the main mission. One soldier entered empty villages with no fighters and no battles, just demolition. Civilian contractors paid per house flattened schools, clinics, and homes while soldiers guarded the bulldozers. Daily quotas were tallied as "achievement assessments." "This is the IDF of the last two years, the Israel Home Demolition Forces," the soldier in question said. 4) Inability to stop drone attacks. Unlike conventional combat, drones leave soldiers feeling like stationary targets dependent on luck. The army's answer, "sky spotters" staring upward for hours, felt absurd. Soldiers in Tomer's platoon wrote wills and rehearsed their own funerals. One soldier explained, "On the news they say 'ceasefire', do you know how many drones they send at us? This shit isn't over." The overall picture is not dissimilar to the Vietnam War. Lack of purpose, soldiers developing paranoia as they get killed one by one. Lack of discipline. This war was a horrific mistake. Massive war crimes are being committed, soldiers are coming home in body bags and there can be no winner.

How To AI
How To AI@HowToAI_·
Apple has published a paper with a devastating title: “The Illusion of Thinking” It argues that AI models, no matter how brilliant they may seem, do not understand what they are doing. They do not solve problems. They do not reason. They merely generate text word by word, trying to sound coherent. Apple tested the most advanced reasoning models in the world on controlled puzzle environments. They tore open the internal "thinking" traces. What they found shatters the narrative that we are getting closer to AGI. Current models don't scale with complexity. They have a hard mathematical cliff. And they do not degrade gracefully. They collapse. But here is the most unsettling part. When a problem gets too complex, the AI doesn't use its remaining compute to try harder. It just gives up. Its reasoning effort actually declines. It stops thinking and starts guessing. Then Apple ran the experiment that closes the casket on the reasoning debate. They gave the AI the exact, step-by-step algorithm to solve the puzzle. The cheat codes. All the AI had to do was follow the instructions. It couldn't do it. Performance didn't improve at all. When the complexity gets high enough, these models fail because they cannot actually execute a logical sequence. They are not reasoning. They are just pattern matching. When you give them a simple problem, they overthink. When you give them a hard problem, they collapse. Paper: The Illusion of Thinking, Apple, 2025

I heard an interview today about AI in creative spaces and the man being interviewed said “AI is data, and Data can only look backwards. Creativity looks forwards.” And I need to sit with that in the best possible way.

A factory owner in Ashulia, Bangladesh, wanted to build a mosque for his workers. He gave the commission to a Bangladeshi architect. Not an imported name. Not a foreign firm. A local architect who understood the land, the climate, and the culture she was building for. In 2025, Time Magazine named it one of the greatest places in the world, the first Bangladeshi building to ever appear on that list. The entire structure is one material. One colour. Pink-pigmented concrete, perforated with small rectangular voids that filter light into the prayer hall the way hanging lanterns did in old mosques. A dome floats unsupported over the circular prayer space. The high plinth references the Bhiti, the earthen mound that Bangladeshi homes have been built upon for centuries in the deltaic floodplain. The building knows where it comes from because the architect did. Across Africa, clients with the same resources make a different call. Foreign firms. Imported aesthetics. Buildings that could exist anywhere. The brief gets fulfilled. The opportunity gets wasted. Trusting a local architect with his mother’s name just made global history. That should mean something to us. Zebun Nessa Mosque, Ashulia, Bangladesh 🇧🇩 | Studio Morphogenesis | Lead Architect: Saiqa Iqbal Meghna | 6,060 sq.ft | 2023 | 📷 Asif Salman, City Syntax
