@wordsofrizdom It's crazy the amount of "I'll learn X after I get the funded account". Like trust I grew up around gambling and I see how it takes people over. But man, the more I've studied prop data/twitter the more you realize how little self control most people have.

Most traders in the prop world shouldn’t even be trading. They lack the basic understanding of trading. Basics such as rollover, slippage, the daily close and most of all just having a consistent strategy. The amount of traders I’ve met with no consistency buying challenges is absolutely wild. I don’t understand the logic of throwing money at challenges when you never consistently made profit. Unfortunately this is a huge majority of prop firm traders and really they need to hold themselves accountable. No one coming to save you. You must recognise your own mistakes and rectify them. Don’t delay the inevitable changes that must be made.

Be cautious with third party prop firms at this point in time. Obviously it’s a turbulent time and not all firms will survive. If you do buy assessments, stick with places that have proven to show their stability. I don’t think the model is going anywhere tho.

Prop firns aren’t going to go away but the industry will go through some turbulence as it grows and evolves. You should look at building your trading in the same way that has survivability and can stand the test of time.

Prop land never ceases to add amusement. Go for sustainability above all else.

Ngl, I never understood why people go full time to go ‘all in’ on trading. Surely the added pressure everyday is actually gonna force you to be on a timeline and force your bias on the market no? If you took the 5 years and had income coming in, it’s genuinely way easier.

How long have you been truly consistent with your processes? I’ll start. This journey started 8 years ago for me, proper consistency in routine, growth, intentionality…probably 4 years at the moment.

It’s so important to be diversified with prop firms, because as history shows, this isn’t uncommon.
