My first year in uni, I told my dad to buy me an iPhone. He searched online and saw the price, then he asked me what a 17 year old jobless girl needs a phone worth 200k plus for, that I should look for another phone. I told him if it’s not that one he shouldn’t bother buying another.
Knowing how he advised me to not let small boys deceive me with money, I texted him after some weeks, that there’s a boy I met and he wants to buy me the phone if I accept to be his girlfriend.
He called me, I didn’t answer. Then he sent a text “should I send the money for the phone or buy it and send it to you”.
When I finally got the phone, he went ahead to remind me that whatever I needed I should call him immediately and not let those small boys deceive me with small money 🤣

2015, Year 1, literally my first week, I blew the 40k in my account. I called home and my dad said I should starve since I didn’t have sense. 😂🤣 My friend advised me on what to say so I waited two days and called back, but this time, I told my dad I was hungry and I met one boy who told me he will give me food and money if I follow him to his house. For some reason it worked and my dad sent me 20k. From then till I graduated, my dad never said no to anything I asked, even if it was the most useless or vain thing.
