🚨A comprenhensive overview of key challenges in peace mediation worldwide in this new Accord issue. Honored to have had the opportunity to contribute with Rafael Gude and @Adrian_Bergmann with some reflections on the complexities associated with engaging with criminal actors.

Through agreed measurable outputs both municipalities will be able to track the implementation of these plans and improvements in human security in the pilot communities.

The plans include comprehensive diagnoses of security problems affecting people's lives, livelihoods and dignity in both communities and multi-agency and multi-sectoral actions for the short medium and long term.

We celebrated 2 cities' pioneering achievement! W/ @UNhumansecurity & @SaferCities_UN support we worked w/ Ciudad Juarez & Durban to operationalise the human security approach RESULT: 2 Human Security Plans designed through participatory process that improves security strategies
