In Nigeria, #UNTFHS supported the first integrated UN programme on the farmer-herder conflict—operationalizing #HDPN through people-centred, prevention-oriented action. #HumanSecurity is not an added layer. It is the operational methodology that enables an integrated #HDPN.

#UNTFHS & @‌SIPRI convened the second Community of Practice on #HumanSecurity, exploring human-centred approaches to urban resilience through lessons from Cabo Verde & Ukraine. One message was clear: locally driven, people-centred action is what makes urban resilience durable.

Farmers & herders once lived side by side. That foundation is not erased — it is where #HumanSecurity begins. Governments & development partners have a responsibility to work together to ensure these conflicts are resolved. The #HDPN is not optional. It is the only path to peace.
