Chinese people welcome the lunar new year by writing "福” (which means happiness and luckiness) with ink and brush on red paper. With the year of the Dragon approaching, 3rd year Mandarin students had the opportunity to practice their calligraphy skills. #YearOfTheDragon

Last week, some of our pupils attended the Peking Opera workshop 🇨🇳, which was given by two native Chinese performers of the opera. They were taught 4 of the main types of characters and their respective subsections, all with unique roles and appearances. #Chinese #abingdonschool
