i’ve been naked on this app for months.
but guess what?
i’m not naked anymore.
i finally got my blue tick after 3 months.
after losing 5 accounts, i learned a lot.
that experience changed how i moved in this space.
i stopped posting consistently.
stopped forcing engagement.
stopped showing up the same way.
but some people never stopped pushing me.
@AlaminTbx kept asking:
“ablewrites where’s your content calendar?”
“how are your engagement metrics looking?”
he kept reminding me there was still work to do.
then there was @Letts_W
he checked up on me while i was away.
i told him i had exams.
truth is… i failed the exam
while i was off here,
someone else was helping me grow mentally.
@humblelee71 taught me a lot.
her story, mindset, and consistency inspired me deeply.
then @Mannys_Grind and @UniqueZeellen would always ask:
“able, when are you coming back?”
and i’d always reply:
“i’m coming… i’m not dead yet.”
@DeFiwayneX will be like "Inkfi how far?" always calling to check up
the discouragement was real.
posting into silence.
building while people you call homies don’t even support or reply.
that stuff gets to me quietly😭
fast forward to yesterday.
i got a dm from @_xaleh_
“ablewrites, you’ve not been posting.”
“when are we getting the bangers again?”
i told him the truth.
i said:
“i needed a blue tick.”
because i write long-form content, and i wanted my writing to carry more weight when people saw it.
next thing he said was:
“check your notifications.”
he gifted me a 3-month blue tick.
how i met him is another story for another day.
