#Disability & #vulnerable rights are not the excessive demands of an ‘entitled’ community. They set a minimum benchmark of equity and dignity in accessing care and support that ALL of us, at some point, will rely on. Our rights today will be yours tomorrow. That’s why we matter

The Loan-Not-Loan is thankfully now dead. It is now a grant coming off bills. And it is bigger. So now ALL energy bills will be reduced by a flat £400 this October. #CostOfLivingCrisis GOOD MOVE.

Lots of you keep asking me how to tell the difference between someone who *says* they are trauma-informed and someone who actually is. So I’ve made this to help everyone find a trauma-informed professional or organisation. Please share and use for free as much as you like.

A woman was told by social worker & psychiatrist that in order to keep her kids she had to comply & take psych meds. She used to pick up the prescription & put them in the bin. But they wrote on her notes that since ‘taking’ them, she was nicer, calmer & easier to engage…

0n Boxing Day, for reasons still unknown, suddenly and devastatingly our beautiful 3 year old son Alexander died. I want the world to know how much joy he brought to everyone's lives, but especially ours. We are lost without him. Please keep our gorgeous, kind boy in your hearts.

A common autistic trait is getting words the wrong way around or phrasing words in a less conventional order. I do this a lot! E.g, earlier today I spoke about “present opening” instead of “opening presents”. It was still correct, but my ordering was unusual. Do you ever do this?

@lucykhobbs I feel the same, I have it, I work with it and my kids to. I get sick of myself. I’ve put loads of accommodations in place, loads, on a good day when I feel great, sometimes it can hold me back 😞
