@AbmanRyan Not really. It is slop generated from a prompt designed to capture some resemblance (I also provided some images as reference for Claude).

How to start using Claude on the Terminal (CLI) (Step-by-Step) 1. Create an empty folder in your computer. You can use the Finder for this. In your documents folder create a folder call Claude and a folder inside it called test. 2. Open "Terminal." You can use the magnifying glass/spotlight (cmd+spacebar) for this. You might want to pin it to your taskbar from now on (keep in dock) 3. Go to your new folder. Type "cd" in the terminal (which stands for change directory) and drag the folder you just made into the terminal window. Press enter. 4. Create an account in claude.ai if you haven't already. 5. Install Claude. Go to the terminal and type (or copy): curl -fsSL claude.ai/install.sh | bash Press enter. This installs Claude. (for windows see: code.claude.com/docs/en/setup) 6. Set path. After the installation is done type this into your terminal. export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH" This tells your system where claude is. You'll need to do this each time you open a new terminal window. 7. Start claude. In the terminal type claude and press enter. Claude will ask you if he can trust this folder (say yes, we created a separate folder for this in step 1). 8. Log in. Since this is a fresh install, you will need to login. Claude will open a browser tab for you to accept and can give you a link to copy paste on a browser. That will connect the installation we just did to your account. 9. Start creating. Remember that Claude can download, create, and execute files in the folder you just made, so it will ask you often for permissions (can I run python, can I run grep, etc.). You need to stay close to your machine if you don't want it to get stuck waiting. 10. Save & Resume Sessions. If you want to save your session and continue later /rename name_of_your_project Then you can return to the same project after reopening claude by typing /resume name_of_your_project If you want to quit and go back to the terminal type /exit 11. Questions? Ask Claude!!!

And if you are curious about what you can build with Claude in a weekend, here is a video game we built with my daughter last weekend. It is multiplayer, so you can join the server anytime. The goal is to collect the letters for the word T O U L O U S E as fast as you can and dunk them in the basketball hoop while fighting other players with powerups and weapons. nothing2lose.fr

(1) Rapid GE trade modeling returns for April 2nd tariffs. We model: April 2 tariffs + 25% on CAN/MEX imports + 20% on PRC imports + 25% on iron/steel/alum/cars. Fig. shows total tariff by country. Avg 20.4%, ~10X pre-Trump rates. What are US and foreign impacts?

Dartmouth student Bond Almand sets new cycling world record from Arctic Ocean to Tierra del Fuego: 75 days. Beat the old record by 20 days. 14000 miles, 31 flats, 3 vehicle collisions, 15 Strava KOMs. Pretty sweet trip photos too. velo.outsideonline.com/news/this-20-y…

@kareem_carr @DinaPomeranz You could look at the American Time Use Survey. That should give you a sense of how this has changed over et time

@DinaPomeranz I think “monetized life” is a kind of work too. Supermarket self-check. Captchas. Ads. Companies find ways to put us to work. I also think we have an issue our forebearers didn’t have which is we can be reached 24/7 even in another country. We never fully clock out.

Something I believe but can't prove is capitalism is killing us, that a larger percent of our time is monetized by corporations than our parents, to the point where little time is left for friendship, health, romance and kids, and that's why everything's falling apart.

#econtwitter I have been invited to write my first ever tenure and promotion letter. Does anyone have resources and/or tips for crafting effective letters? I think I have seen threads on here in years past, but never paid much attention. Any advice appreciated!

Our paper suggests the need for distributional analyses in water transfer programs to evaluate and potentially compensate disadvantaged communities for negative external effects.

Drying of these terminal saline lakes (and subsequent pollution increases) is exacerbated by water transfer policy shaped by individuals and groups with influence in the policy-making process. Those most impacted by the pollution may not have been at the bargaining table.
