These unilateral decisions function to preserve white privilege and power by advancing fascist and capitalistic ambitions rooted in American exceptionalism and evil.

Meanwhile, SCOTUS blocks student loan forgiveness program. This attack on the protections of gender/sexuality (roe v wade), race (affirmative action), and economy/class (student loan forgiveness) is systematic and intentional. #studentloans #StudentLoanForgiveness

My faith is in a just God and the moral decision making of the few who believe in fairness and equity despite the hateful sabotage of SCOTUS. We who believe in freedom cannot rest… 7/7

This also makes me think about the tensions between law and morality. When laws fail us, perhaps morals can save us. Good people can resist unjust laws by appealing to morality and doing what’s right and just when deciding the future of prospective students. 6/

Race consciousness in college admissions was ruled by SCOTUS as unconstitutional, on top of the earlier overturning of abortion rights. As a Black woman and a Black mother raising Black daughters this is a blow that nearly knocks the breath out of me. 1/ #AffirmativeAction
