In 1985, Khomeini publicly described the Shiites of Iraq as “the people of Kufa” for failing to support the Iranians. His forces then went on to destroy Iraqi border cities such as Basra and others. Time, however, has a strange way of turning. The Americans killed the “Deputy of the Hidden Imam” and “Guardian of the Age,” Ali Khamenei, and crushed him along with his family. Yet instead of avenging the blood of their sacred Imam, the Iranians negotiated with the killers and sold out his blood. They became a new version of the people of Kufa. They did not declare it a Karbala-style war, but instead sold his blood for the cheapest of prices. The ironic bit is that they might hold a funeral for his remains on American Independence Day. Where are your boasts now, Iranians? You have sold your religion and your Imam for worldly gain. And “far be it from them to accept humiliation,” yet they live in the deepest humiliation.

🚨‼️A Monumental Modern Discovery: This inscription is remarkable because it independently attests the title “Dhū al-Janāḥayn” for Jaʿfar ibn Abī Ṭālib, the same title found in Sahih al-Bukhari 3709. The inscription reflects contemporary usage by a freed slave named Walid who was freed by Jaafars son. This suggests that this honorific title was genuinely known among early Muslims. It is a small but tangible example of archaeological evidence aligning with and corroborating details preserved in the hadith tradition and it won’t be the last of its kind. The inscription translates as follows: “I am al-Walīd, the freedman of ʿAbdullāh ibn Jaʿfar, son of Jaʿfar the Two-Winged. May my Lord forgive me and have mercy on me.”
