Essentially what happened was everybody thought Q4 was going to be a monster blowoff. They decided to double leverage to that by buying MSTR at 400 and short dated calls on IBIT.
When that didn't happen, everybody sold down to 80 and exited the asset. The MSTR positions dropped 70% -- "one full bear market, measured in standard bitcoin units".
We're now ready to resume the normal path upwards. All the same arguments apply, and Banks are all slotted in for 2026. The next 12 months will be epic. Most traditional Bitcoiners will miss the train.

Hard for me to accept anyone blaming Trump for the crypto dump when the leverage was already in the system before then and the charts had showed weakness for several weeks leading up to it. The news is often noise. Everything one needs to know to trade is reflected in the charts.

Weekly momentum on $BTC has been broken since August and the window from then to now has seen majority of CT get rock hard bullish then very quiet. If price accepts back under 107-108 Q1 highs it's fair to expect several more weeks of disappointing PA at minimum.

The bidding up of gold doesn't mechanically push the globe into a crisis. People are talking about the price like it's a countdown to extinction. It is indicative of *conditions* which: have been in play for a couple years now, we all see happening, and are likely to continue.
