@Kvngdc_99 @JJ_McCullough People were hoping it would be like a Pixar or Dreamworks film, a “family” movie that everyone could enjoy even if geared primarily towards children. But that’s just not the way creatively they decided to go apparently.

@JJ_McCullough I don’t understand why people are watching a Mario movie expecting it to be some type of cinematic masterpiece opposed to what it actually is, a fun movie targeted to appeal to families and children 😂

I just saw the Mario Galaxy movie. I don't think I've ever seen a film more clearly designed to be viewed on an iPad in the backseat of a minivan.

@JJ_McCullough Yeah unfortunately the first movie made it very clear that this would be the direction. That one was also for babies.

Wow this tweet blew up. Some people assume I'm mad? I'm not. I just think it's important to remember that some movies are, in fact made for very young children. I'm a Mario fan and I'm prepared to accept that this is a pretty shallow franchise without much storytelling potential.
