It involves activating a core which he then takes control of and after the experiment goes wrong, you're tasked to deactivate the unstable core. I don't know if Pearl Abyss intentionally did this or not but I still believe that this is a direct reference to Raimi's Spider-Man 2 movie, where Doctor Octavius's experiment also goes wrong in the exact same way...
