I'm an orthopaedic surgeon with 175+ publications. You know how long it takes to review literature for a single paper? Weeks. So I built ResBot.ai — it reads medical papers, extracts key findings, and organises them by relevance. And CiteSort.ai — because no one should spend Sunday evenings reformatting references. AI won't replace surgeons. But it'll give us our evenings back. Surgeons shouldn't be spending nights reading PDFs when they could be sleeping before a 7am list. Follow for surgery meets technology.

A previously healthy 59-year-old man presented to the emergency department with a 5-hour history of severe, pleuritic chest pain. Half an hour before the onset of symptoms, he vomited a large amount of gastric contents after eating street food. On physical examination, his breathing was found to be rapid and shallow. Palpable crepitus was noted in the neck, and breath sounds at the base of the right lung were diminished. Computed tomography of the chest is shown here. What is the most likely diagnosis? nej.md/IC06192025

How do we make sense of two “negative” trials in @NEJM and a “positive” meta-analysis of the two trials in NEJM Evidence? @emil_hs and @FralickMike share some insights in this editorial: eviden.cc/3OYutgJ

Can we create a platform for people to find medical opportunities like research/internships/leadership roles to develop their interests? Does something like this exist that we can push? If not, is anyone interested in making one with me? 4/4

As a med student, I found chances to get involved in things outside clinical practice hard to come by. Things like research, #medtech, entrepreneurship - I yearned for opportunities to broaden my horizon and skillset. Is this still the case, or was it just me? 😬#medtwitter 1/4
