Not really since xA doesn’t really take account the difficulty and range of a pass for exemple a player that plays close to the goalkeeper, and makes 15 assists with a 14,89 xA will be more valued, where it should be the contrary, than a player that plays further from his opponent camp and pulling up difficult passes with low xA and might finish with 14 assists with a 8,96 xA.People don’t understand really how xA works.

And the craziest part is that in all those categories, he’s easily be the best when using stats/advanced stats, eye test,records and context, since the hold every record in all those aspects coming from someone who isn’t a full specialist in any of those, due to doing everything at their same time, since he doesn’t have the chance other players in history got which is focusing one or few specific aspects so maximising their potential and they will still struggle to outdo him at their own specialty.

Actually when you use advanced stats, normals stats, accomplishments and context, he’s easily better than anybody in history in all those aspects which lead them right now to trying to turn the eye test against him by gaslighting people to not use stats (advanced stats, most specifically, that can break down fundamentally the impact of a player’s productivity and is a derivation of the eye test but statistically) and also making the Yamal vs Messi trend to take him down so that the getback, when Yamal will cross the 20s, won’t be intensive toward himself since people are desperate to see someone be better than Messi or overtake him when their idols never had the level for it.

By stats and accomplishment alone, not eye test, he will be first at majority of those categories, and can easily be it when adding context, for somebody that is not a full specialist at majority of them, since he does many things at the same time which didn’t give him the chance to fulfill his potential at one aspect, like people’s idols that dedicate themselves for that one aspect and they can still struggle to outdo Messi in their specialty so the frustration of people toward Messi can be understood since someone like him will be hard to take down, even by running collectively elaborate agendas against him.

His cases to be the best at all those aspects are more solide than any player ever specialised in that specific aspect so I understand the frustration of people only having the "eye test" as a hope argument against ironically Messi, which won’t even help the player you’re backing against Messi, which explained this trendy "intensive" agenda against Messi by using Yamal.

This was Messi’s numbers in the period 18-20, I understand there is a trending agenda against Messi with the Yamal thing since we all already see that Yamal will never surpass Messi (the only hope for every person that has an idol to final see someone be better than Messi, even at one thing the least) but, Neymar fans, I see what you’re trying to do so and backing up Yamal won’t help, it won’t be also good if we use advanced stats since Neymar nor Yamal, at their prime, won’t be better than a Rijkaard Messi.
