While I don't know if Tyler Robinson is actually guilty of killing Charlie Kirk, what I do know is that whoever planned that move had to do some serious scouting. ​If you look at the sightline from Turning Point's position up to the roofline, the geometry speaks for itself: • A standing man would be visible across at least half the roofline. • A kneeling man might still be spotted on at least a third of it. • Only a low crawl keeps you completely hidden until you reach the absolute edge. ​Whoever was up there knew the exact threshold where they had to drop to knee height and then to a crawl to stay unobserved. That isn't luck, that’s calculated angle work and line of sight planning. Pretty calculating guy right there. A crawl on it's own may not be damning to some (even if it was clearly a military trained motion), but the fact that he completely understood the line of sight with the kneeling then to a crawl, plus the lack of shooting evidence and wearing different outfits in multiple cameras is enough for people to at least be skeptical.

I'm not in the military. So I watched a stack of army crawl videos. Not one matched what Tyler was doing on that roof. Then, to be thorough, I asked @infantrydort, someone who actually has been in combat, whether it was a recognized military technique. His exact words: "that's some idiot crawling on a roof with no military training whatsoever." So that talking point is dead. That's what data analysis looks like. You don't run with the first assumption that falls out of your gut, like "this guy's in better shape than me, so he must be trained." You test the counterfactual. You ask people who actually know.
