I went through every double-elim major tournament in the CDL era and checked how often the losers bracket team actually won. Spoiler: Even without a bracket reset, the data shows the real edge is coming from winners 👀 🟢 20x - WINNERS bracket team won 🔴 12x - LOSERS bracket team won That's a ~62.5% Grand Finals win rate for the team coming from winners vs a ~37.5% win rate for the losers bracket team.

OpTic Texas repeat what the CW FaZe roster ending up doing going into the Vanguard season. After winning champs, they go into the new season with back to back 2nd places. That was an infamous season for that roster who ended up getting 4 2nd places across the entire VG season. Let’s hope OpTic don’t repeat that

Just repeating myself over again but I think one of the biggest cancers to the CDL is the fact you can fly across the world to an event, only play 3-5 maps and just be gone home. That is absolutely disgraceful. I know people are going to say Royal Ravens are onliners & they should’ve put themselves in a better position to not be in the play-in position but it doesn’t matter. How are they supposed to prove themselves on LAN when they get one series to do so. I feel like there should always be a group stage on LAN that goes into seeding but then that would mess up qualifiers (nobody would care) People need time to get accustomed to the LAN environment. At the bare minimum play in matches or LR1 matches should be Best of 7 or 9.
