Imagine the weapons this Muslim man was caught smuggling into Jos. He said he was paid 4 million by a man named Aliyu in Jos to bring them. These people are out for war against us, but security forces are busy arresting our youths with kitchen knives and cutlasses.😱
I successfully defended my PhD dissertation today.
My interdisciplinary project examines four autobiographies by authors of African descent in Germany and argues that these texts go beyond their conventional reception as personal testimony to something theory-producing, a form of political thought, and should now begin to be recognized as such.
It has been four years of reading, writing, and thinking across German Studies and Political Theory. Somewhere in that process I understood what Rancière meant by disagreement not as a dispute over facts but a contest over who counts as a speaking subject in the first place. My authors had been staging exactly that and I only had to train myself to see that.
Grateful to my committee for two grueling hours of tearing apart my work, pushing every claim to its limit, and unanimously agreeing that this dissertation is worthy of a PhD degree from Stanford. I do not take the depth of their knowledge or the seriousness of their engagement for granted.
Last year, a 39-year-old offshore engineer walked into my clinic in Port Harcourt.
4 weeks on the rig, 4 weeks at home. High-stress, high-performance life.
His wife had been tested for 3 years straight. Everything was normal.
Nobody had thought to test THE MAN. 🧵

CONDEMNATION OF THE ATTACK IN ANGWAN RUKUBA, JOS NORTH LGA, PLATEAU STATE AND CALL FOR RESTRAINT
I strongly condemn the tragic attack that occurred in Angwan Rukuba community in Jos North Local Government Area, Plateau State on the evening of 29th March 2026, which led to the loss of several lives and left many others injured.
This senseless act of violence is deeply disturbing and unacceptable. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who lost their loved ones, and I wish a speedy recovery to those who were injured.
Security agencies are actively working to restore calm and ensure that those responsible for this attack are brought to justice. The cooperation of community members is essential in supporting these efforts and in maintaining peace, law, and order.
Let us all remain committed to peaceful coexistence and the protection of lives and property.
Today, I formally submitted my resignation letter as Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, in line with the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the provisions of the Electoral Act.
This moment marks the close of a significant chapter of service; focused on strengthening Nigeria’s global partnerships, deepening diplomatic engagement, and delivering a people-centred approach to foreign policy.
I express my sincere appreciation to President Tinubu @officialABAT for the trust and opportunity to serve under the Renewed Hope Agenda, and to contribute to advancing Nigeria’s foreign policy through the 4D Doctrine.
I remain deeply grateful for the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs @NigeriaMFA, as well as the collaboration and partnership of colleagues and partners across the world.
The journey continues, guided by duty, purpose, and the call to serve.

🔥 THE GENERAL WHO STOOD HIS GROUND WIKE NIGHTMARE JAMIL SARHAM (RTD) 🔥
Some men wear the uniform…
Others become the uniform.
Major General Jamil Sarham (Rtd) belongs to that second category a soldier whose name moves with quiet authority, not noise.
If you ask around in military circles, one thing you’ll hear over and over is simple:
That man no dey bend.
Sarham built his reputation on discipline, courage, and zero tolerance for nonsense. During his time at the Nigerian Defence Academy Commandants, he reportedly made decisions that many wouldn’t dare dismissing cadets from powerful and influential homes over indiscipline and serious misconduct.
No favoritism.
No big man pikin pass.
No phone calls could save them.
No connection could rescue them.
Just standards.
Even when pressure allegedly came from high places including the Presidency, legislator and even the Emirate empire but Sarham stood his ground. Because to him, once discipline is compromised, the entire system collapses.
That’s the kind of man he is:
Calm, but unshakable. Quiet, but feared.
His time as GOC in Rivers State is where the legend really grew.
Rivers politics is not for the faint-hearted heavy personalities, strong interests, constant tension. And right there was Nyesom Wike, one of the most forceful political figures in Nigeria.
But Sarham?
He didn’t blink.
He didn’t come to negotiate with noise.
While others might have tried to align or play politics, Sarham reportedly drew a hard line:
I’m here for security, not for sides.
That alone was enough to shake tables.
The friction became the kind people whisper about power vs principle.
Authority vs Authority.
But one thing stood out clearly:
Sarham no gree.
And ever since then, gist for ground be say If Sarham is coming from the left, Emperor Wike himself will suddenly remember urgent meeting on the right, the only man that Wike is terrified of.
Not fear of drama.
But fear of a man who cannot be influenced, cannot be intimidated, and cannot be bought.
Because how do you control someone who has already decided that nothing moves him
Sarham’s story is not about controversy it’s about character.
A general who chose discipline over popularity
A leader who valued duty over pressure
A soldier who reminded everyone that the uniform still means something
In a system where many bend,
he stood straight.
