Beam - Subnet 105
Beam protocol is fully data-storage agnostic. Whether your data is on-prem, single-cloud, or multi-cloud, you’re not locked in. Built as a distributed, scalable architecture for real-world data movement. Built for the agentic era, Beam coordinates data movement. 👉 Join the network. Build on Beam.

A big moment for subnet tokens and meaningful step forward for institutional participation in Bittensor $TAO
BitGo@BitGo

BitGo has partnered with @YumaGroup to deliver an institutional-grade solution for Bittensor Subnet Tokens. Clients can stake and trade subnet tokens within a single platform, managing exposure to the Bittensor ecosystem within the security of a qualified custodian alongside a leader in non-custodial $TAO staking since 2024.

Last week we enabled "Automated Transfer Runs" (using Beam's orchestration protocol) This was an important milestone because it removed the training wheels and allowed orchestrators and workers to operate in a live environment. The results have been encouraging. Distributed transfers are taking place, worker performance is improving, and the orchestration layer is beginning to function as intended by coordinating transfers, selecting workers, and creating competition based on real delivery.

UPDATE: 5 GB transferred through BEAM in just 1.3 minutes. The network is still early, still rough around the edges, but every day the infrastructure becomes more stable, more coordinated, and more capable. We are proving that independent orchestrators and workers can move real amounts of data across a decentralized bandwidth network. Today: gigabytes. Soon: terabytes flowing across BEAM like streams of light. The infrastructure layer for open, programmable bandwidth is starting to come alive.

We have proven that BEAM and its distributed bandwidth network can operate at the same level as traditional transfer providers while remaining fully decentralized. 500MB transferred in 21–29 seconds is still early, but the progress is real.

In two clips Sam sold 37,000 $TAO worth of his subnets (Worth $10,000,000) It's becoming overwhelmingly likely he just rugged & was looking for an exit

BIG drama unfolding right now on $TAO Covenant AI, owner of SN3, SN81 & SN39 has announced they're leaving Bittensor @DistStateAndMe accusations against @const_reborn, Bittensor's founder: -Suspended emissions to Covenant's subnets -Stripped their moderation rights over their own community channels -Unilaterally deprecated their subnet infrastructure -Dumped large token sales timed to moments of conflict as economic pressure -Calls the "triumvirate" multisig governance "decentralization theatre" — claims Const still has effective unilateral control and uses the other two as legal shields

🚨 MASSIVE: @THORChain is integrating $TAO This means you’ll soon swap native BTC → native TAO directly onchain with no CEX, no wrapped tokens, no middleman. 🔁 One step: $BTC from your Bitcoin wallet → $TAO in your Bittensor wallet. This unlocks: •Deep cross-chain liquidity between Bitcoin and AI compute markets •Direct on-chain access to deAI via TAO •Massive volume potential as BTC holders enter the Bittensor ecosystem Decentralized money + decentralized intelligence = the future of crypto. Thorchain x Bittensor is a liquidity bridge between Bitcoin and AI. The AI economy just became trustless.
Mark Jeffrey@markjeffrey

One piece of news from the Thorchain pod this morning: Thorchain is working on a Bittensor integration. This means that native Bitcoin (and other chains / assets) will be able to swap into native $TAO via DEX -- no centralized exchange required (!) $BTC in Bitcoin wallet --> $TAO in Bittensor wallet. One step. Big volumes, no problem.

$TAO #SN105 - @b1m_ai is starting to make serious waves and about to doxx the full team. And look who's passing by their Discord channel... Hello @MaxScore 😄 More details about Beam below. Read on to the end to understand just how much of an asset this subnet can be for the ecosystem and why our beloved Max is undoubtedly already showing interest here. -- In short, BEAM is a decentralized bandwidth coordination layer. While other subnets focus on providing storage (#SN75) or providing inference (#SN64), BEAM focuses on moving data across the globe at peak efficiency. 1. The Core Innovation: Proof-of-Bandwidth Unlike traditional ISPs or cloud providers where you pay for "theoretical" speeds, BEAM uses Proof-of-Bandwidth. Verifiable Data: Every transfer generates cryptographic proof. Performance-Based Rewards: Miners are rewarded based on actual throughput, latency, and reliability—not just for being "online." Eliminating Cheating: You can't fake speed; the validators check the math on every chunk of data moved. 2. The Architecture: Miner roles in the Network Orchestrators (The Dispatchers): They act as the "brains." They split data into chunks, select the fastest routes, and balance the load across the network. Workers (The Data Movers): These are the nodes actually streaming the data. They compete to provide the lowest latency and highest bandwidth to earn rewards. 3. The "Why": Why does Bittensor need BEAM? Think of Bittensor as a Global AI Supercomputer. @hippius_subnet #SN75 is the Hard Drive. @lium_io #SN51 is the GPU/CPU. @b1m_ai #SN105 is the Bus. Without BEAM, moving massive AI datasets or model weights between decentralized GPUs would be slow, expensive, and centralized. BEAM ensures the "pipes" of the decentralized web are just as fast as the "brains." As AI agents become more autonomous, they need to talk to each other and move data across different clouds (AWS, Google, Private) without friction. BEAM provides the universal, verifiable "highway" that makes this cross-cloud movement possible without relying on a single corporate middleman, thus unifying all the subnets' communications.

Beam is ready for orchestrators and workers. Starting Friday, we will begin running daily transfers, allowing orchestrators and workers to participate in building the foundation for distributed bandwidth transfer. Competition between orchestrators will be driven entirely by the performance of their worker pools: - Transfer success - Throughput - Reliability - Delivery speed We will begin with lighter payloads and progressively scale toward multi-gigabyte and eventually terabyte transfers. The system is designed to continuously improve as participants compete and the network learns which orchestrators and workers deliver the best results. API Documentation: Please also find below the API documentation and the lightweight worker code in the BEAM repository. beamcore.b1m.ai/redoc Dashboard: The beta dashboard is now available at beamcore.b1m.ai/dashboard/ This dashboard is still in beta, so some data and functionality may be incomplete or buggy as we continue improving it. The dashboard provides early visibility into: - Orchestrator competition - Worker pool performance - Validator measurements - Transfer activity and bandwidth metrics We are actively iterating on it and expect rapid improvements over the coming days. Worker Code: The worker code has been added to the BEAM repository at GitHub. You can find it here: github.com/Beam-Network/b…
