Vulgar/dualist/unilateral determinism: The superstructure merely "reinforces" the base. Conscious decisions don't impact the world. The biosphere is unilaterally determined by geography. Actual monist determinisn: Base-superstructure, environment-mind and geography-biosphere 1/2

Venezuela achieved its peak GDP per capita at the time of this photo. My grandparents immigrated from Spain over 15 years before, opened businesses, and lived the "Venezuelan dream", rising from poverty to the middle class. This is what freedom did. And Socialism destroyed it.
