Woman walking her dog stops in front of a stranger’s house, throws a bag of dog poop into their trash can, and casually walks away like nothing happened.
Some people really treat other people’s property like their personal garbage dump.
Would you say something if you saw this or just let it slide?

@kpatrickpayne Position within one’s time zone varies. Sometimes radically. Latitude and seasonal weather patterns have the same issue. DST vs Standard is just one part. There is no correct “time” to be had.

A little DST history lesson: We experimented with year-round Daylight Saving Time (DST) as a response to the 1973 oil crisis, with the change taking effect on January 6, 1974. The goal was to conserve energy by extending daylight into the evening hours. This shift resulted in significantly darker mornings during the winter months, particularly affecting schoolchildren who had to commute to school before sunrise. In Florida, eight schoolchildren were killed in predawn car accidents shortly after the policy began. The prolonged morning darkness was linked to incidents like a 6-year-old girl in Virginia, being struck by a car and breaking her leg & two students in Maryland, being injured in February. Which is why permanent DST was abandoned not even a year after its implementation.

I have never stopped thinking about it and will use that as a compass as my kids get married, have kids, buy houses etc.

If you're a boomer in your 60s and 70s and you own property and are well off but your children are struggling and can't even buy a home, what the hell are you doin? Your time is over. It's their time. Help them. Be a good parent, do whatever it is you need to do... sell the house if you need to, give them some kickbacks to help buy their first home, etc. Life is short. Be a good parent and don't squat on stuff that doesn't matter. Give them their time.

We had our first kid when I was 40, second when I was 44.
I’m now 46, and our third is due next month.
There’s something nice about raising kids when you’re at a time in life when your career is established, you’re not hustling to get by, and you have much more control over your time.

This man lives next door to this yard. His neighbor’s two Doberman’s got out.
He takes the time to round them up and bring them back to their yard. They are giving him a lot of grief. They seem friendly enough but they don’t want to go back inside, they want to play.
You can tell this isn’t his first rodeo with them. To have a neighbor like this is being rich in life. What a great guy.
Not only did he save them from possibly creating some havoc but he saved them from getting hurt. Having a neighbor like this, you just can’t put a price on that. 💯

How I’d like to reply: FK YOU I got more than that fee in 2005…I HATE YOU, BURN IN HELL You are destroying this industry, and your fees are terrible, how do you sleep at night?
How I did reply: fee seems a little light, considering the $1M+ sale price and the complexity of the area and the size of the home and the rush time frame. Typically I get anywhere from 750 to 1500 for something similar. Would it be possible to get $800 for a more reasonable fee, I will still do it on a rush and I will do a great job and I would really love the work
