With a significant amount of snowfall in the forecast for Sunday, we’re planning a full call out of our resources, including snow plows to keep the busways and park and rides clear of snow, additional rail cars to prevent snow from building up on the tracks, and we’ll be putting sleet cutters on rail cars to keep ice and snow off the overhead power lines. If the current forecast holds, there will most likely be several buses detoured, especially in hilly areas. If buses are unable to get to hilly, snow covered, icy, or otherwise impassable streets, they will stick to the main roads. A good rule of thumb is that if cars can’t drive on a street, buses can’t either.
