@RobertoMerken Largest demonstration in history… yet for something that we got rid of 250 years ago…. Maybe they didn’t get the memo… If only they would use that drive for something more effective…

7 millones de personas salen a marchar en contra de la ultraderecha y el gobierno de Trump. El "No King Day" se transforma en una de las manifestaciones más grandes de la historia de EE.UU.

I’m so sick of Republicans saying this. I’m not too lazy to get documents to vote. I’m not too stupid to get documents to vote. It is unconstitutional to make women pay more than men to vote!! Read the 24th amendment!

@marsrocc @DittiePE Was it a misuse of power when Biden pardoned the below individuals convicted and charged of fraud? Pardoned individuals like Paul Daugerdas (fraudulent tax shelters) and Elaine Lovett (Medicare fraud). Or is it only an abuse of power when Trump does it?

@AcrossAisle @DittiePE Blanket pardons are not a misuse of power depending on crimes committed and historically used by presidents in tne past. For example many of the pardons were for marijuana offenses Pardoning convicted fraudsters is an abuse of power

Republicans are not serious people. Trevor Milton, convicted of defrauding investors, was pardoned after pouring nearly $2 million into pro-Trump political committees. Paul Walczak, convicted of siphoning $10 million from employees’ paychecks, was pardoned weeks after his mother contributed $1 million to a Trump super PAC — her largest-ever political donation. Julio Herrera Velutini, a foreign billionaire charged with bribery, received a pardon after his 25-year-old daughter — whose only previous political donation was $20 to Pete Buttigieg — suddenly gave $3.5 million to a Trump super PAC. $2 billion in restitution wiped out allegedly by pardons sold at $1-2 million a pop. It’s a pretty good deal if you can get it. democrats-judiciary.house.gov/media-center/p… ms.now/news/justice-i…

Trump pardoned 77 people this week that stole from Medicare. This flew under the radar. I believe Trump is selling pardons which is enough to send Trump away.

If they were for names offenses (marijuana in your comment) then it’s not a blanket pardon. I’m referring to a pardon issued for an unnamed/unknown crime that may or may not have even been committed. So just so we’re clear, it would not be a misuse of power for Trump, at the end of his term, to issue a pardon for his kids spanning from 2010-2030 for ANY crimes that may have been committed during that time period…

I am? I interpreted the post as calling republicans unserious because of how/who the pardons have been issued to. I gave instances where the other side of the aisle issued pardons (in my opinion) with a higher degree of misuse (blanket pardons) which is feel is a lot more unserious… How did you feel my comment didn’t take any of the post into account?

@blink64 @DittiePE So it would be better if Trump issued blanket pardons that cover 5+ years for ANY potential crime…???

@AcrossAisle @DittiePE And now we see why. This DOJ is trying to charge Trump’s “enemies”. And they’re failing miserably at it. The difference Trump’s pardons are for *convicted* fraudsters, always timed after large donations to him or his allies.

There’s already agreement in the Senate. The only thing standing in the way of reopening TSA is Speaker Mike Johnson refusing to act. Leadership means solving problems—not stalling them. Article below ⬇️

Speaker Mike Johnson is blocking a bipartisan Senate bill to reopen TSA. Let that sink in. Safety isn’t partisan—until politics gets in the way. Why risk delays, chaos, and security gaps just to score points?

No, they don’t. The fact that they have that much money and still haven’t deported more than Biden and Obama is actually ridiculous! Go look at deportation statistics under this administration. Biden deported more, and so did Obama. You have piss-poor excuses for the Republican Party, which clearly overspends as well and has low deportations!

Before Trump was reelected ICE had a $10 billion yearly budget, they currently have $85 billion from Trump's BBB. ( 8.5 years worth ) Yet Republicans want you to believe that Democrats are shutting them down by not including them in TSA funding.

My favorite part of the Kash Patel being hacked story is that it was confirmed because the email address is one….that was hacked before! The FBI Director doesn’t know how to secure his own Gmail account AFTER getting hacked before. This is the clownery in this Admin.

@kmeeo Where have you seen only 12-18% of Americans could vote if that passes?

#DemsUnited #wtpBLUEResists Why didn’t Trump do this 43 days ago? Because he wants the Republicans Save Act to pass where it’s been reported that only 12-18% of Americans would be able to vote. Upon hearing that, Johnson said on a hot mic that this would be great for them.

DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) was not an entirely new agency created from scratch. It was primarily a reorganization and repurposing of an existing federal entity: the United States Digital Service (USDS), which had been established in 2014 under the Obama administration.

Trump invented an agency without congressional approval (DOGE) which slashed billions in grants, fired hundreds of thousands of employees, then stole our Social Security data. And now Trump wants our state voting records (Save Act). That's government thuggery. Tomorrow's No Kings rally is a reality check. Go to your local protest. #WeSayNoKings

@AcrossAisle @funder Yes, just like in confirmation hearings for SCOTUS how many lied and said they wouldn't touch Roe v Wade? Remember they stated "Its Settled Law"! These Faith Fascists don't give two shits about our Constitution, proven nearly daily FFS! We might want to start paying attention📢

@Leroyyy65 @funder Oh I’m not saying there won’t ever be illegal orders (pray there isn’t, but you’re right, you just don’t know anymore), just that the original posting was misleading made it sound like those illegal orders have already been issued.
