🚨 In 2023 Kevin Porter Jr. was arrested on felony charges of strangulation of his girlfriend and plead guilty to charges. The NBA issued Porter Jr a 4 game suspension. Jaden Ivey, proclaimed Christianity and was released by the Bulls for "Conduct Detrimental" to the team.

They aren’t interested in Ivey because he’s having the worst season of his career. He’s been battling mental health for months and he just came off a devastating injury. Even after what he said if he was having career highs across the board he would be on a roster by the start of next season. It doesn’t help that you’ve been playing bad then say those comments. You could argue the bulls were getting rid of at least 3 guards and I saw him on that list this offseason anyways.

But KPJ's entire career has been "conduct detrimental to the team" and he keeps getting chances. Ivey doesn't deserve it at all.

KPJ was released the same way as Ivey. Ivey didn’t commit a crime he’s free to sign with another team now or play overseas. KPJ also lost money while Ivey received the rest of his contract. Yall can continue to sway it all you want. KPJ didn’t play 1 NBA game for that season. I’m not sure why yall try to force a false narrative. I stand with Ivey, I just also stand with the truth.

Then once the legal heat died down, he came back to the league and they issued him a measly 4 game suspension as his official punishment. Ivey straight up got fired, and he may not get another contract.

Does longevity not matter in convos about who is a better basketball player? I think it absolutely matters in a Harden v. Wade debate that Harden is still one of the most impactful players in the league at the age Wade was on his way out the league.
