@revhannahking Amen. I read @chuckdegroat’s When Narcissism Comes to Church recently, and he makes sure to say a growing church is not necessarily a flourishing church, and I’m grateful for the distinction.

@MichaelRWear I had to memorize Colossians 3 in 5th grade 26 years ago, and a majority of it has never left me. It is a good one to always have swirling around.

I've always wanted to memorize Colossians 3:1-17. I think I'm going to make a real effort toward it this Lent, and hope the Holy Spirit returns to me my teenage, script-memorizing brain in place of my current, toddler-addled dad brain.

One time I got a pair of new with tags Darn Tough socks from the thrift store for $1.99. You just can’t believe the delight I felt. Still my favorite pair of socks to date.

Would you pray for our family? This has been the worst winter we’ve ever had for colds and illnesses. Going on 7 weeks with some kind of something, and with our oldest being immunocompromised, you can imagine the emotional fatigue.

7 year old furious at me for having her skip 6:30am Ash Wednesday service due to her being sick. She might be a more devout Anglican than I am.
