One sermon I find extremely annoying and unfair during weddings is the “your husband is your first child” sermon, please stop it. Two people are leaving their parents to come together and build a life, to start a family, they are both entering unfamiliar grounds where they will learn, unlearn and relearn a lot of thing and one person automatically has a first child? This same man that is on most occasions older than her, he is expected to head the home and she is expected to submit to him but he is her first child? How do you submit to your child then? So many of the preachings don’t go down well with me but this one takes the lead
