Airport officials say this is not sustainable and expect this to be one of the busiest travel days at IAH as lines already loop down to the basement.

LeBron James is 41 years old. The man dropped 23, 9, & 9 tonight. How could you possibly rank him anywhere other than 1ST in NBA history?

Luke Murray stuck in a time loop where he wakes up at 2am, negotiating NIL and Contract with Boston College AD while doing x’s and o’s for UConn Michigan St game on Friday. BC just give the man what he wants

@ryannemcek There was literally no better option for this hire. Nobody has said I’d rather have (fill in the blank coach) over Gerry. There wasn’t a better fit. You are just a hater who is desperate for engagement

Yet another coaching search update for BC MBB: Luke Murray was in fact offered a deal by BC. I do not know if Larranaga was. Feels like it’s now Murray’s job if he wants it. We could all just be waiting on the UConn season to wrap up at this point. @BCEagleAction

Lawrence Lepard, "fix the money, fix the world"
My carpenter, my electrician, my plumber, my handyman and my home alarm guy all understand and own either precious metals or Bitcoin. They live in a proof of work world and understand proof of work money. Common sense isn't always that common when you consider the finance and investment industry. But this will change.

@Simon_Ingari $2500 in rent for someone just out of college is way more absurd than the job offer. Get a roommate or live at home. Don’t live somewhere you can’t afford. Even if they offered $5000 per month, $2500 is too much to spend on rent

HR: I think you’d be a great fit. Your qualifications are exactly what we’re looking for, and overall, you match well with the team. Candidate: Thank you so much. That’s really good to hear. HR: Of course. So, we’re officially offering you $3,500 p.m as the base salary, along with additional benefits and 12 days of PTO, which will be available after 90 days of employment. Candidate: Oh, I’m sorry — did you say $3,500 a month? HR: Yes. It’s actually pretty standard for an entry-level role in this market. It’s also the midpoint of the range we shared in the job description. Candidate: Okay, when I checked the job description, I didn’t see that salary range listed. Is there any possibility of negotiating? HR: Honestly, not really. I’m not sure you realize how fortunate you are to get an offer this quickly right out of college. I even took unpaid internships to build my experience. I don’t know… I just feel like your generation isn’t always very grateful for these kinds of opportunities. Candidate: My rent alone is $2,500 a month. How did you even manage that? HR: My parents did help cover some of my bills until I got my first paying job. But that’s beside the point. Overall, you should be quite grateful for this kind of offer. At the end of the day, though, it’s your decision. Candidate: Okay.

@b_co_co You’ll be paying double the 2480 or more in rent for most of the 30 year period. So with the monthly investment you’re committing to ~7500 month. If you can afford that, you BUY, lock in to 2480/mo, invest 2480/mo, and pay an extra 2480/mo to pay off your home early. Learn math!

My wife wants our own home. I do too. But not by enriching the bank. Let’s do the math: Apartment (70–80 m²) Price: $580,000 First payment: $58,000 30-year mortgage Interest rate: 4% Monthly payment: $2,480 Total to pay: $904,595 Now, ATTENTION: If we invested the same money in the S&P 500 ($VOO) Starting investment: $58,000 Monthly contributions: $2,480 Term: 30 years Final balance: $5,904,441 Almost $6,000,000…!!! Enough to buy a home in 30 years?
