@TheRealKoolala The 20 dollar version of the game you need to post on the platform not to export games as standalone. The GitHub version is basically the free open source version of the engine. Which you can use to make your game and export entirely for free. Still have to pay steam fee tho.

An entire free to use game engine using Source 2 as a base was given to you for free with rust assets that you can use for your game btw. Does it run terrible right now? Yeah it's being fixed. "Why should I play x when y already exists?" Cause they're different things lol

@Jonathan_Blow I think 2012 is a bit early, because Read dead redemption 2 is arguably the greatest game in the top 10 most sold games. Imo 2016 was peak, but it depends on the audience.

@DenchiSoft @s8box I agree. The sausage model is a turnoff. It's such a stupid model I can't believe they actually went with this. I thought the sausage model would just be a meme (kinda like the URF champion in league) on launchday.

@s8box 1) Delete the sausage models from your game and marketing material and never talk about them again. 2) Take a firm stance on AI slop. Ban it or at least hide it by default. 3) Remove microtransactions. I'll be happy to give it another chance after all of that is done.

sweden forced me to leave all my equity behind in a startup i left before. 1 year cliff in sweden is ILLEGAL to "protect employees" they tried force me to pay 70% tax to get equity in the early startup which is money i didn't have not even communism just raw capital destruction
