@HistorianUSA1 You ppl are the ones most likely to kill one of us on the road. Are some cyclists completely ridiculous? Sure. But the majority of us respect the rules of the road and are trying our best to stay out of the way and yet some ppl fly into a automatic rage when they see us out there

This video is PEAK comedy gold. I felt this in my SOUL. 😂 “Can’t stand these fckn bicyclists” — my brother, you just narrated my morning commute. He nails it: Grown-ass men in skin-tight neon spandex outfits looking like a pack of radioactive Power Rangers, riding three-wide like it’s the Peloton Championships on a residential road. No one’s handing out medals at the cul-de-sac, Kyle. You’re not transporting a heart for surgery. You’re just expensive, slow-moving road geese with $10k carbon fiber attitudes. One? Fine. Eight? That’s a tactical formation. That’s how civilizations fall. I’m honking, I’m crying, I’m in agreement. Save us from the Lycra Legion. He nails every reason I can’t stand the bicycle militia.

@Kenny_D_Morgan @BishopJaxi Not to mention, the sacrificial system, with which Jesus and everyone around him was intimately familiar. Hanging some out-of-left-field doctrine (to a 1st century Jews ears anyway) on a single verse and then calling it “authoritative” is silly.

Why can’t anyone produce a single verse where Christ says eating His flesh and drinking His blood is purely symbolic? And why can’t anyone produce a single Christian for 1500 years who taught that the Eucharist was merely symbolic?

Christians have two options when voting. Either don’t vote because both candidates violate your conscience with their life, policies, or beliefs. OR Vote for the lesser or the two evils. Meaning the candidate whose life, policies, or beliefs align with yours.

Looks like we finally have a good explanation for why there are not major energy shortages and price spikes. The world’s largest importer of crude oil, which imports over twice as much as the second biggest importer, simply didn’t import any oil in May of 2026. It looks like they just used their inventories and reserves. Do we believe the data? Maybe we should. It’s the most logical explanation for how the world has continued to function through refinery and infrastructure destruction and the closure of the single most important transit point for crude oil in the entire world. If the data and its corollary are right, and I lost money on this 2 months ago in the most embarrassing way possible, this means that once China’s stockpiles run low, we are fucked.
JH@CRUDEOIL231

Look at the chart—China’s crude import collapse this year is nothing short of dramatic. It's actually worse than the period when China was suffering under Zero-COVID and Shanghai was locked down. This is also a clear testament to their brilliant strategic foresight in aggressively stockpiling their SPR last year. The Chinese are incredibly sharp. #oott #iran

@LouisianaScout @garrettham_esq @OnceLost The Jews today are under covenant discipline - just as they were after the 1st temple was destroyed. This is all covered thoroughly in Deut (blessing for obediences and curses for disobedience). So yes, they remain gods chosen ppl, hard as that may be to understand for us moderns

@AdamApocalyptiK @garrettham_esq @OnceLost I'm not a theologian but if you make such assertions, you must be able to prove it. Because you have found teachings of all sects useful up to some point but found none worthy of the full truth sounds no different than the many challenges to the early councils.

@LouisianaScout @garrettham_esq @OnceLost The “burden that neither we nor our forefather can bear” mentioned in acts 15 is not the Torah - it is the Calling/Election - and that is the unique thing happening in acts 15, that gentiles can come to god as gentiles (without having to convert/be circumcised).

@LouisianaScout @garrettham_esq @OnceLost As I said earlier, there is a difference between Torah and Halakha (Jewish traditions around the law). Most of Jesus’ arguments with the Pharisees had to do with the ladder. I believe the apostles intended for new gentile believers to learn from Torah.

@LouisianaScout @garrettham_esq @OnceLost And for what it’s worth - there are a lot of really good things in all sorts of denoms. I’ve found valuable insights in catholic, Anglican, Protestant and many other theological circles. I’m not saying it’s all bad and everyone is wrong. There are just some things that are wrong.

@LouisianaScout @garrettham_esq @OnceLost There is a very wide breadth of biblical scholarship as I’m sure you are aware. There were a lot of errors made by the early church fathers, particularly as it relates to relationship with the Jews. Luther, for example, was a raging antisemite at the end of his life.

@LouisianaScout @garrettham_esq @OnceLost And when you really dig in, you see how much of modern theology is build upon ideas/worldviews that are rarely questioned. I don’t care about agreeing with any given theologian - I want to know what’s true. I am in pursuit of that.

@LouisianaScout @garrettham_esq @OnceLost I have looked into a lot of historical studies, particularly as it relates to the 1st century Jewish worldview since that was the world that Jesus, all of his Apostles, and all of the NT writers inhabited.

@LouisianaScout @garrettham_esq @OnceLost 3) to say Jesus is the fulfillment of the Davidic covenant is to imply that there isn’t more to come, there is. Matt 5:18 makes this clear. I don’t subscribe to some neat systematic theology. I have painstakingly searched scripture to find truth.

@garrettham_esq @rightnGA @OnceLost Getting back to the Greek then - Mark’s commentary is talking about the body’s process of elimination and contrasting that with the how the inner man (the heart) doesn't operate that way.

@garrettham_esq @rightnGA @OnceLost Sort of? My argument would be that in context, Jesus is arguing with the Pharisees here and the real argument has to do with Halakha and not Torah (traditions instead of law). Additionally - this is an intra-Jewish argument and to a Jewish mind, anything not Kosher is not food.

I saw a clip where a guest asked Shawn Ryan, on a scale of 0 to 10, how confident are you that you will go to Heaven? Shawn said 6. This is a very useful question for quickly discovering what an individual's belief and understanding about God and salvation is. How would you answer? 0? 5? 10? The next question is, "Why?" or "What brings you to that conclusion?" Together, these are some of the most important questions you will ever be asked. Let me explain. Salvation from God comes by Grace (that is an undeserved gift) alone, through Faith (a genuine belief) alone in Jesus Christ alone. There's nothing you can do to earn this gift. And if you truly possess the gift, you cannot lose it. A person with faith in Christ should understand that they are guaranteed to go to heaven, and they should understand that THE reason they are getting into heaven is the grace through faith in Christ. Someone who answers less than 10 or fails to answer the second question by referring to their belief in Jesus probably doesn't understand that. Many people call themselves Christians. Many people believe they are saved. But calling yourself Christian, going to church, believing you're saved, even doing good works - none of that is the measure of whether you're truly saved. That's what makes these questions so effective. They help to get around all of the fluff, and cut right to the core of the issue. So what's your answer? If you died today, how certain are you on a scale of 0 to 10 that you'd go to heaven? And why? If you don't believe in Jesus, if you're not confident that he has paid for your sins, then let me tell you not to hesitate or doubt, but to take hold today of the free gift God is offering you. Stop running from God. Repent to God of your sin, believe in Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins, and be saved. You will never earn it on your own. You could never deserve it. Don't let pride keep you from humbling yourself before God. Some people know that they can't earn it, but they just think they'll bear the punishment themselves. You can't bear it. You will regret it for all eternity. Believe today.
