People who actually think Ole Miss losing to Kentucky is a reason not to hire Lane Kiffin are confusing. First of all, Kentucky is notorious for dragging favored teams into nasty street fights. Look at Georgia earlier this month. That’s Mark Stoops’ team. Second of all, it’s not like Kiffin lost the game with bad decisions; his players didn’t execute. It’s not Kiffin’s fault his kicker Caden Davis— who was 7/8 for the year on field goals— picked the worst possible time to shank one. It’s not Kiffin’s fault Tre Harris fumbled the ball away in the red zone when Ole Miss was about to take the lead in the third quarter. It’s not Kiffin’s fault Gavin Wimsatt fumbled the ball right into the hands of teammate Josh Kattus for a cheap touchdown. That game shouldn’t have moved the needle on him. In fact, 2024 as a whole shouldn’t move the needle much one way or another unless the Rebels completely wilt in the SEC schedule. Kiffin has two 10+ win seasons in the last three years at a lower-level SEC job, and he’s one of the best offensive minds in the game. One fluke upset in isolation doesn’t change that.

ECW went out of business because Paul wasn't a great businessman, it had little to do with wrestling intelect. In fact, from a wrestling stand point, ECW was at it's hottest when the doors closed.

Paul Heyman was a genius and Tony Khan was a huge ECW fan, but there is something rich about ECW, which never drew at the mainstream level close to AEW, not that there aren't things to learn from, talking about how AEW only caters to this small fan base unlike ECW. 2,000 at $20 was a great night for ECW, 3,000 at $60 is a bad night for AEW.
