@TesCalendar1 I'm in the same camp as you! Traded in my 2013 Silverado in November for a lightning flash and then cancelled my CT reservation.

I actually want to thank Tesla for getting me into a Lightning. Wait - did he say Tesla got him into a Ford? Is he confused? No. Here’s the deal. When Tesla unveiled the Cybertruck in 2019 I was SO EXCITED for this thing. It was the toughest truck I’d ever seen. The looks were crazy but all the perks were worth it. Super affordable on the lower end. Crazy 500mi range for $70k. Could power my house. Bulletproof. 6-seat, side pillar storage, tailgate ramp, access to the air compressor in the bed… so many amazing features that make this the best truck on the market BY FAR. I held onto my rust bucket Silverado waiting. And I wanted. And waited. I even got interested in the Lightning while waiting but dealer markups chased me off while I continue to wait for the Cybertruck. And then in late 2023 it finally came! YES, it’s finally here! But wait. It’s ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS. I could buy 2 Lightnings for this?! But that’s not all. They also stripped it down. Yes, they added some cool features like steer by wire and 48V architecture, but those aren’t the things that were going to vastly improve my daily life. I use my trucks as tools. Working vehicles. Hauling, towing, building, TRUCK. So now I was left with with a rust bucket gas guzzler with an option. Spend the amount of money a small house costs where I live on a truck, or look at more affordable options. Cybertruck made me seriously consider buying a used ICE truck. Heck, I even made an offer on one (that wasn’t accepted). But man, I REALLY wanted an electric truck. It was early 2024 and the Lightning prices finally started to come down selling for MSRP. So I started looking! I ended up going to test drive one and I was sold! For half the price of the Cybertruck, I could get an AMAZING electric truck with more storage space than any vehicle I had ever seen, access to enough power to power my home for a week, and so much more. Since then, it’s been 16 months of amazing electric truck ownership where I’ve used it to do so many truck things. So yes, I’d like to thank Tesla for selling me a Ford Lightning!

Btw anyone inside the admin that short sold this should spend the rest of their lives in prison, from interns to the cabinet.

@TesCalendar1 Good question. I took my lightning in for a bad parking sensor. The dealer proceeded to charge it up to 100% and then took 4 weeks to fix the sensor...

I have done it. My first large format drawing is finally finished! 350 hours of work 31 pencil leads 12 pencils 1 drawing paper  "The Rise of #Bitcoin" was just a thought, an idea in my head over 4 months ago. Even more fulfilling to now be able to witness this idea with my own eyes and to creatively combine my drawing style and love to detail with some of the most formative events in the 16 years since Bitcoin came into existence.
