Just finished a corn field. Highest field average I've ever had. And it was non GMO waxy. So cheaper seed, premium on first 180bu/ac. Comes right to .70lbs applied N per bushel. I like GMOs, but I like to say they protect yield under stress. They don't add yield intrinsically.

Recorded earlier this week between storms in southern WI. Small grain cereals (grain, forage or #covercrop) can reduce storm water runoff in wet springs. Runoff mitigation strategies will have positive impact on herbicide use patterns moving forward.

@AdamLeek4 @Wolfpakkevin Experience and they are dry sleeve engines and known for head gasket issues, so they get studded and glued to prevent it.

1456 things... DT407 head studs installed, gasket dressed, and after 156 pulls on the torque wrench she's stepped up to 180 ft. lbs.

@Wolfpakkevin Yup, Permatex or Loctite High Tack or KW Copper Coat on all DT361/DT407 engines as well as D282's... all other engines I do dry.
