@guychristensen_ This is like arguing that Manhattan should not have existed because Jersey City existed.

This is repulsive. “We are not the Jews of trembling knees.” Greenblatt is referencing a trope that the Jews of Europe were slaughtered by the Nazis because they were weak and cowardly. That’s not why they were killed—they were killed because genocidal freaks conquered Europe and slaughtered them. Between these disgusting attacks on our ancestors, and comments like Neera Tanden’s recent claim that Europe’s Jews were killed “precisely because they were wealthy,” Israel’s defenders are starting to embrace full-on antisemitism. I wonder if the Jake Tappers of the world will have anything to say? (Joking, we know they won’t.)

ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt: "We will never apologize for our love and support for the Jewish state of Israel! Not now, not ever!" "And to those who hate us, we say to them: We see you. We hear you. And guess what? We’re not going anywhere! We are not the Jews of trembling knees. We are here, now and forever! Am Yisrael Chai! Am Yisrael Chai! Am Yisrael Chai!"

“We are not the Jews of trembling knees” is how some 20th century Zionists differentiated themselves from Jews who died in the Holocaust, whom they stereotyped as weak cowards who went like lambs to the slaughter. @JGreenblattADL is a rabid antisemite.

Lindo detalle.

It is 100% true that great men and women of the past were not sitting around moaning about their feelings. I regret nothing.

@11Yanks The back also looks bad with the name/number because they aren’t big enough to filll the white space and the stripes design at the bottom makes no sense. All blank back might have worked. As is, it ruins it.

@g4ryw4lker Patterned continued all around is instant purchase. Maybe best jersey ever. Panel is not a purchase. Don’t want the name/number.

🇺🇸 Nike are selling two versions of the USA match shirt - one with space for a front number and one without. But strangely, the version without the front number still keeps the white panel on the back, even though there’s no name or number there. Last year the women’s shirts handled this better (see thread below) the non-personalised version simply continued the pattern across the back. Feels like a missed opportunity here. A version without the white panel at all (like the 2025 women’s away) would’ve looked great. What do people prefer? Pattern continued, or the panel for numbers? @knockemdownes @ChatShirt @WinksFootball

One Battle After Another suffered from a tone problem. Was it trying to be a serious film? A farce? Felt like the main characters were playing in different films from each other, and sometimes from themselves in different sections of the film. The Penn storyline in particular.

@TPrincato @DavidFCavell I'm guessing people attacking synagogues have not investigated the fabric content of the prayer stage before selecting their target.

@DavidFCavell Unfortunately, most synagogues fly the Israeli flag next to the bima, so that upsets people.

Most non Jews don’t know that for years most synagogues have had to have armed guards and elaborate security measures. Here, it seems that may have prevented a tragedy. We should not have to live in fear simply to worship.

Text message to members of the Temple Israel synagogue: "Lockdown is still in place, but the active shooter has been taken down. Lockdown will be in place until they know that the shooter was working alone. All kids and all staff accounted for and fine. Truck rammed into front door and opened fire." detroitnews.com/story/news/loc…
