@AdamOLykos Idk, we’ve had many instances stateside, like the Fort Hood mass shootings, where servicemembers could definitely be affected to the point it merits 100% rating in mental health. That’s why the VA has a criteria that must be followed to determine these things.

I said what i said. There are special circumstances….but if you didn’t deploy you should not be a 100% for mental health. You know it’s true, I know it’s true, we all know it’s true.

@AdamOLykos 100% for MH is pretty extreme and you would need to demonstrate severe life impairment to get that rating. Probably the only people deserving outside of combat vets are rape victims. Most MH ratings are 30-70%

@AdamOLykos Screw you. My son was one of the 22 a day. Aircraft recovery team in Germany, pulling what remained of the pilot out of the aircraft, head still in the bucket. He never filed for PTSD, but it damn sure took his life.

In 2013, a command investigation came up to my office in 1st Marine Division headquarters which described how a young man was gang raped by his fireteam mates (4 on 1) during a field exercise. We had all deployed two, three, four times and had seen the horrors of war. But we were all speechless at how 4 seemingly normal dudes could get so wrong. The only conclusion we could come to was those 4 would face the full weight of the UCMJ without mercy. That kid never deployed. And I hope he gets a lifetime of payouts.

In October 2000, my Guard unit was at Fort McCoy in Wisconsin for annual rifle qualification. During night firing, a young PFC was accidentally shot and killed. If you think there is not PTSD from that night, you are delusional.
