on 1st May 1997, Tony Blair's Labour Party won the General Election the next morning, our headmaster called an emergency assembly and warned us of what was to come it felt like the entire school was mourning and now i know why England died that day 🌹🪦 30 years on: 📉 the economy is broken > real wages are as per 2008 but a coffee costs $15 > supermarkets have security guards and need security tags for milk, butter and cheese > unemployment has risen to 5% but this still hides a massively inflated public sector 📈 the welfare state is out of control > benefit spend exceeds income taxes > claiming benefits is encouraged > the tax system disincentivises hard work > wealth taxes push entrepreneurs out of the country 💥 the NHS has imploded > too many managers, not enough nurses > some doctors and nurses can't speak english > over £70,000,000/yr spent on translation services > British pensioners are made to wait 3 days for an ambulance (whilst they lie on the floor with broken bones) yet illegal migrants get same day care 🤣 our police force is mocked globally > english people are arrested for memes whilst the same police escort rape victims to their rapists > the prioritisation of equal outcome over equal opportunity means we now have a growing number of fat and feeble officers 🔥 the education system is in ruins > the Chair of the Confederation of School Trusts is an Islamist > woke policies prevent real education > toddlers are taught about transgenderism > Christmas, Lent, Easter are cancelled, whilst schools close for EID > schools warned that art, reading and music are Islamaphobic > teachers are in hiding for drawing a religious figure 💩 the streets are a shambles > Birmingham is leading the race to third world status, with mountains of refuse piled high in the streets > vehicle/fuel duties are at an all time high whilst main roads resemble the backstreets of botswana > every trip outside comes with the risk of being stabbed to death by an illegal migrant > unless you're a child, in which case you could be stabbed or gang raped > wearing a watch in London shortens your life expectancy and i don't know about you, but i've felt like a minority in my own town for at least 5 years now, and i'm totally not ok with this How does this happen?!

Tornante have taken us as far as they can with their model They’ve done some good stuff for this Football Club and the vision (sustainable/debt free) is admirable and worked in L1, but doesn’t work like that in Champ I’ve lost trust in their ability to adapt to that reality🔵

@jason999potter @PompeyPedro Absolutely no doubt about it. The mentality is League 1 throughout the club. The owners, the ground, the chief exec and of course the squad.

@PompeyPedro I've said many times, we've become a league 1 club By design. You don't have to be a genius CEO to realise our business model doesn't work in competitive leagues. They've created no additional, meaningful revenue streams except for selling secondhandplayer pants. We're tinpot
