Ian, it is your job to know the rules so that you don't misinform fans about why play didn't stop after Virgil van Dijk elbowed Alexis Mac Allister. Let me help you.
Play didn’t have to stop because Michael Oliver hadn’t seen a serious injury or possible concussion & under laws, concussion rules & VAR protocols, play is allowed to continue until Oliver stops it or VAR intervenes.
Oliver had the discretion to stop the player, but did not see it & as a result play continues. Concussion protocols are triggered if Oliver sees it. He didn't, therefore the goal stands without controversy.
VAR only intervenes if the elbow was violent conduct, but it was from a teammate. If there's no reviewable offence - & there wasn't - the on field decision stands. From end to end, the incident was officiated perfectly.
So you either know this & are deliberately misleading people, or you're an idiot - which one is it, Ian?

United have benefited from a loophole there. The ref hasn't seen it, but VAR has after the goal goes in. But as it's not a foul, how do they go back and stop the game? Bottom line is it's a terrible error from Michael Oliver

Might be a dumb thought but surely dudes back in the Anglo Saxon era used to get ACL’s? Like imagine running into a battle field with speed and snapping your ACL just to see a dude running at you with a sword at full speed. They must of been thinking ACL’s were black magic.
