It’s two years after October 7th and my party has gotten this one spectacularly wrong. There’s still time for Democrats to get it right.

Cancelling NIH grants to punish universities over campus antisemitism is like decapitating a patient to cure a disease. Beyond groundbreaking research, level-headed scientists improve campus culture &tolerance - driving them out is a double blow, that will only worsen the problem

Today, Israeli hostage Eli Sharabi was returned. Hamas killed his wife and two daughters, pictured below, as well as his brother in captivity who was kidnapped with him, and they also shot and killed his dog. As you can see from Eli's physicals health, he almost did not make it also. When they found his murdered wife and daughters, they were huddled in their mother's arms as though she was trying to protect them. She died trying to save them. As Eli is being released, Hamas forces him to tell the world that he is happy to go back to his wife and children, whom they had not told that they had killed, as a form of psychological torture, while his abusers parade him on a public stage with a certificate for his time in captivity and the world looks on, indifferent to the sickest, darkest, Black Mirror episode of reality. Not only that, but 9 wounded hostages were exchanged for 112 terrorists who had committed at least one or more acts of murder, meaning not only do the hostages have to live with the fact that they were kidnapped and their families were murdered by terrorists, they are forced to serve as the bargaining chip to exchange for the same terrorists that have killed their families and friends. I will never forgive anyone who used the term "resistance" or "liberation movement" within 100 miles of Hamas. There is no equivalent to the evil of radical Islamists in our time. None. If you’re so sure you’re on “the right side of history,” explain it to your maker. To those of you who said “never again” after the Holocaust and wondered what you would’ve done had you been alive, your silence as Jews emerge from Auschwitzian terror tunnels is your answer.

19 year old Israeli Ori Ansbacher was sitting in a park reading a book when Arafat Irfaiya, in an act of ‘Palestinian resistance,’ attacked and raped her, then cut off her head. Now Hamas has traded hostages to get him back. Why are women’s rights groups on silent mode?

Revital, Noam and Matan Ohayon were murdered in their home in Kibbutz Metzer in 2002 by a Fatah terrorist who entered the Kibbutz and opened fire. He broke into their home and murdered them. Noam and Matan were 2 and 4 years old. Their murderer is going free.

The @nytimes consistent reporting of disinformation at this point must be subject to investigation. This framing is completely dishonest. The push to ban UNRWA is not because of “accusations that it shielded Hamas militants,” but because thousands of its employees are reported to be registered agents of Hamas and took part in October 7. Anti-Zionists will say that anything Israel says is just propaganda and they aren’t interested in the charge that 2,000 UNRWA employees are registered members of Hamas and a further 440 are active in Hamas military operations, so let’s entirely set that aside and focus on what UNRWA and U.N. investigations found. After video evidence emerged of UNRWA social worker Faisal Ali Mussalem Al-Naami abducting the body of Israeli Jonathan Samerano on October 7 and shoving him in the back of an SUV, UNRWA conducted its own internal investigation under guidance of the Office of Internal Oversight. Of the 19 UNRWA employees accused of taking part in October 7, UNRWA ITSELF found evidence that 9 employees had indeed taken part, making them active participants in, facilitators of, or members of Hamas. Are these findings consistent with the statement produced by The NY Times that UNRWA is to be banned over “accusations of shielding Hamas militants?” “Accusations of” = no evidence found. “Shielding Hamas militants” = not actively being members of Hamas or taking part in Hamas military operations. This paints a starkly different reality to what we know, and is designed to make the reader believe that such a push is motivated solely by evil. It’s true that UNRWA provides a vital lifeline to Palestinians currently undergoing extreme crisis, and the necessity of this lifeline cannot be overstated enough, but many analysts have painstakingly detailed how to replace UNRWA with an organization that provides just as much critical care to Palestinians without allowing Hamas members to seek impunity behind UN employment. But who needs solutions that are for the betterment of both Israelis and Palestinians and facilitate the end to terrorist organizations that compromise their mutual safety when you have the dishonest media fueling chaos, anger, and incendiary narratives. I just don’t understand how they lie so much and get away with it, most especially NYT, WaPo, and the BBC. Where is the oversight? Where is the adherence to standards of journalistic integrity and truth?
