@paulb3rd Let me start by saying I love this game. 20 hours in. 9.5/10 for me so far. With that being said, could you imagine trying to play this game under review time constraints? I think I would hate this game so fucking much, too. This is a game I enjoy because I can take my time.

The Crimson Desert reviewer hate is wild to watch. I've never seen a game so loved by gamers and so hated by reviewers. What is the disconnect here?

For everyone coming to Birmingham Dreamhack Birmingham is a shit hole but the NEC area is actually nice. Everything is easy to walk to. It has a lake and outside areas if the weather is decent, resorts world with lots of restaurants and shops, live music sometimes, casino and a sky bar Also, don’t bother with Nando’s

Not necessarily, a lot of devs are aware of issues with a game before they release it but they don’t have time to fix it until post release The control scheme issues they knew about well in advance from demoing it so they didn’t need day 1 players to confirm it, so this is them either ignoring the feedback or waiting post release to fix it

I don’t get these devs, at demo events the feedback was largely that the control scheme was archaic and unintuitive and they ignored the feedback and doubled down and now they are fixing it. Why not just fix it then and save yourself all of this trouble lol Increasingly I dont buy games Day 1 unless I plan to review it with game devs as part of my sub series as it’s not worth it a lot of the time. It’s like you are punished for buying games Day 1 as you pay more and get a lesser experience than someone buying it a year later
