Bret was asked to renegotiate because the company had no money and needed him to take a pay cut. Wwe is profitable and is asking their fans to essentially make car payments to watch a 4 hour show with 2 and a half hours of commercials. Not exactly the same thing…

Except talent has in the past been asked to renegotiate. Among the biggest stories in company history started with Bret Hart being asked to renegotiate less than one year into a 20 year deal.

100 % agree with this. If the reaction to r truth from the locker room got them to come around, the new day is probably tenfold what truth is in the locker room from everything we have all heard. If they just low Balled them to make them walk, that will have major implications

@ryansatin I think they probably had bigger plans for them but the wwe fan base never really gave them any kind of reaction which was stupid. They will rightfully be treated like gods in AEW so probably better in the long run for them

If you disagree with this is just arguing for arguing sake. I haven’t been a hardcore wwe fan in over 5 years but I have been to every mania since 2015 and I skipped this year because of how badly I hated the vibe of last year. This was worse

I will be 100% honest: WrestleMania 42 felt soulless. The whole thing felt soulless. That’s the term I use for the Apex, and that’s the term I use when I see the AI stuff—but this was on a different level. That did not feel like WrestleMania. It felt stripped down. It didn’t feel big. I’m not against advertising, but there are ways to do it with grace and class. Literally everything was for sale. They have gone from nothing to completely overboard.

I miss WrestleMania being one night.
I understand the business reasoning for two nights but it doesn’t feel as special.
I find myself realizing it’s 7p and there are two matches left in WrestleMania. Feels weird.

@ryansatin As someone who went to 1 and 2 nights im glad it’s 2. Mania 35 nearly broke me with how long it was lmao. Mania 40 felt special and so did 39. If they stop giving it the pageantry that’s what makes it feel less special. Like idk if they even had opening pyro, can’t remember
